Hello, here is a canvas I made using some of Dusty Attics amazing chipboard pieces...
These are the pieces I used on the canvas....
Flutterbies 3 pack DA0389
Grass Cluster DA0660
Heart Flourish DA0275
Bookman ABC DA0666

I started this canvas by doing some stencil work using molding paste. I used the 12 x 12 Butterfly Meadow & 12 x 12 Confetti Doodling Template from TCW. Once that dried, I tried my best at getting the colors of the background in the photo. I layered & layered so much LuminArt",Tattered Angels or whatever I had that looked like it would be the right color, that I finally had to quit. I don't even remember what I used (LOL). On the Dusty Attic Chipboard, I worked with the colors in Jacobi's dress. On the heart flourish I used Bolivian Blue & Razzleberry LuminArte', I also applied crackle over the Razzleberry. I also used the same on the butterfly & alpha, but on the alpha I used some gold perfect pearls. Here are some closups of detail.....

On the grass cluster I used Olive Vine LuminArt', then rubbed in some Viva Gold Metallic Rub on to the stem & the grass part. On the head of the grass I first applied gold perfect pearls, then once that dried I glued on some gold micro beads.....

Thank you so much for taking the time to look.....Rachelle

Corner Flourish #2 DA0629
Bookman ABC DA0666 for info visit  www.dustyattic.com.au/products/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=27&products_id=372

I used Kelly's beautiful photo of her daughter Jacobi, she is so cute! Kelly has a amazing gallery, you can visit Kelly here: Welcome to Kelly Michaluk Photography | Dauphin | Manitoba | Canada. We are so lucky to have her in our small town! Here are some closeups of detail......

I choose my background, inspired by Jacobi's blond hair, then started to layer using the colors in her outfit & in the photo.
I did my usual distressed layers, did some punch work, used a die from Tim Holtz & some stitching.....
I used LuminArte olive vine on the corner flourish & when that dried I dabbed on a bit of Viva Inka Gold Rub.....
I also used burlap & trim in my layer's........
On the Alpha I used LuminArte' Razzleberry, then dabbed on some Inka Gold Metallic Rub....
Here is another LO I did, using a photo of me & my 5 dogs in the garden area that I staged for the Maja Vintage papers. I am so happy I did that, that garden turned out beautiful & was different from the rest of my gardens........

I used 2 different collections on this LO. I love how you can combine the Maja Collections....
From the Vintage Spring Basics Collection I used :9th of March,9th of March-BS, 2nd of May,6th of May, 7th of May,7th of May-BS, 10th of March, 8th of March-BS
From the Vintage Summer Basics Collection:  I used 1924-BS, 1946

The Dusty Attic Chipboard used:
Corner Flourish #1 DA0628

 Bookman Alpha DA0666 & Ferns DA0507

Here are some closeups of detail.....
I wanted my flower clusters to look woodsy as in the photo,so I punched out a lot of tiny flowers, drew lines on them, inked the edges dabbed on some Viva Gold Metallic Rub then put on a drop of petal pink liquid pearls. I glued those down,by just putting a dad of glue in the center (so that I would be able to lift the petals after). I then cut out lots of little flowers from the 6th of April sheet, glued them on to my cluster, then put a drop of opal white liquid pearls in the centers......
Where I did the lace work, I worked with that piece, did all of my distressing, stitching & lacing, then I glued it on to the background, with the burlap under it....
I used picket fence crackle on the flourish & once that dried I rubbed in brown chalk & inked the edges....
I did the same treatment to the Alpha & Ferns.....

Shows some of my distressed layers & stitching.....
Of course I had to use butterflies, as 4 of my dogs are Papillons....

Yes we are all getting older, many people ask me how I get a photo with all my dogs, & all I can say is, it is a lot easier to get it with them, then it is with my sons!!!Thank you so much for taking the time to look....Rachelle

On the outside squares, of the garden tile frame, I used picket fence crackle. Once that dried I rubbed in some green chalk. I cut out 1.5 inch squares, inked the edges brown, then glued them to the squares (inspired by the patchwork dress.
On the leafy part of the frame,I applied clear versa mark, then while that was still wet I rubbed in 2 different colors of green chalk...
I did the same treatment to the ATC frame....
I love to distress & hand stitch on my LO's. When I am done my stitching, I will distress more with my finger's....
I used Bolivian Blue LuminArte on the Alpha...
The stencil used is from TCW. I first used molding paste & when that dried I applied a few shades of glimmer mist using a brush.....
